ABOUT
My Story

I came to photography through a lifelong fascination with birds. Over time, that interest has taken me from watching birds in Portland parks to surveying bird communities across the Pacific Northwest and spending time in wild places throughout the region and beyond.
My photography is grounded in time spent outdoors: following birds through forests and sagebrush, watching shorebirds along the coast, and paying attention to the small behaviors and moments that are easy to miss. I’m particularly drawn to birds, but the landscapes and habitats around them are an equally important part of the story.
My work is shaped by both photography and field biology, with a particular interest in birds, their behavior, and the places they inhabit. I hope the images convey something of what makes these places and their wildlife worth paying attention to.
Most of my photographs are made in the Pacific Northwest, alongside work from other parts of North America and beyond.
